Making Lemonade Out Of Lemons

Today’s health recovery story is one of my favorites! From the moment I met this woman I thoroughly enjoyed her spirit. She was determined to regain her total health and wellness and to pursue the smile of her dreams!

Like many people she did not see a dentist through her childhood. By the time she did see a dentist in her late teen years, many teeth had decayed. Her left upper lateral incisor even had a root canal. To make matters more of a challenge her two front teeth experienced trauma that led to the loss of a significant amount of her own enamel. As she grew into adulthood and was raising a family she found that she was having less and less energy. She was convinced that her mercury fillings and her dead tooth were negatively impacting her health and she determined it was time to remove them all and have them replaced by biologically compatible materials.

After doing her own research and not being able to find a dentist with whom she aligned in Los Angeles, she decided to travel to Portland, Oregon to see us here at BDC. Her primary goals were:
• Straighten her smile.
• Remove all toxic materials and dead teeth.
• Restore her smile in a natural and biologically compatible fashion.

We helped her to remove the mercury fillings and replace them with biocompatible composite fillings. We then straightened her smile using clear aligner trays (i.e. – Invisalign). And finally we removed her root canal, replaced it with a ceramic implant (@swissdentalsolutions) and restored her front four teeth using no-prep CEREC veneers and a crown on the implant. She could not be happier with her healthy new smile!
