What pre-treatment therapies does BDC offer?

We offer numerous pre-treatment therapies such as whole-body red and infra-red light therapy, I.V. Vitamin C, and oxygen therapies which help prepare you for your dental treatments. We recommend reserving approximately 1.5 hours for your whole body care. Contact us if you have a question or concern about a specific treatment!

Does BDC offer I.V. Sedation / Sleep Dentistry?

Your comfort is one of our greatest concerns.  We want you to know that you have options when it comes to how you experience your care.  Most of our guests choose local anesthesia where only the area being treated is “numbed”.  However, if you are either having a significant amount of care provided at once or don’t want to be awake for your treatments, we offer the ability to work with a dental anesthesiologist.  You can sleep through your surgery and wake up prepared to heal. Contact us if you have a specific question or concern about sedation and anesthesia.

Is “SMART” Mercury Removal and Biological Dental Restoration safe?

Our practice is certified by the IAOMT in the “SMART” (Safer Mercury Amalgam Removal Technique) protocol.  This process takes approximately 45-60 minutes per tooth.  Teeth may be restored with either bio-mimetic fillings or ceramic inlays, onlays or crowns.  No post-procedural pain or swelling is expected.  Most patients can return to work as soon as the numbness has worn off. What should I expect before and after Cavitation Surgery?

Your health is your responsibility. Preparing your body for cavitation surgery is essential to optimal healing and recovery.  Following our recommended protocol for nutritional supplementation and lifestyle adaptations for 4 weeks prior to and following surgery is essential.  We recommend that you ensure that your Vitamin D level is above 60 prior to having any tooth replacement with dental implants. Your general healthcare practitioner (physician, naturopath, etc.) can order that blood test for you.

Surgery takes between 30-45 minutes per site.  Post-surgical swelling and discomfort is expected to be mild to moderate lasting 3-5 days.  Most patients find that their pain is well controlled by homeopathic solutions and red-light therapy.  If more traditional means of pain control is necessary, these are also available.  We recommend taking 4 days off before returning to work.
